Well last week we predicted a coin flip for #1 at the Box Office between the new movie 'The House With A Clock In Its Walls' and previous #1 'The Predator' ...we were correct about the Jack Black Fantasy Film, but in it's second week the Alien Action movie failed to deliver dropping to a dissapointing 4th place. Coming in 2nd place, moving up 1 spot from last week, is the unique mix of Comedy & Thriller in 'A Simple Favor' and the horror 'The Nun' fell to 3rd place. It's worth noting 'The Nun' has now crossed over $100M domestically, on a budget of $22M. Horror films tend to perform well on low budgets, but this would be considered a huge financial success in particular for the genre. Rounding out the Top 5, the aforementioned Predator reboot & after 6 weeks in theatres 'Crazy Rich Asians' came in 5th place, repeating in the same spot as last week, showing some steady longevity.

Opening this Weekend in Theatres; the WB Animated movie 'Smallfoot' & the latest Kevin Hart comedy 'Night School'. We can safely predict that being in 4,000 theatres 'Smallfoot' will be the new #1 movie after the Weekend!
