Box Office

Weekend Box Office: Nov 29 - Dec 1, 2019

It was another huge performance for 'Frozen II' at the Box Office with a dominant $85.9M weekend. Last week we easily predicted it would repeat as the #1 movie, but it was even higher than we thought with only a 34% drop off in its second weekend in theatres. At the time of this post 'Frozen II' has an impressive $745M worldwide in just 11 days.

In 2nd place this past weekend was the new murder mystery 'Knives Out' with $26.7M starring Daniel CraigChris Evans & Jamie Lee Curtis. Dropping into 3rd place with $13.1M was 'Ford v Ferrari', 4th place went to new release 'Queen & Slim' with $11.8M and rounding out the top spots in 5th place with $11.7M was the biography drama 'A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood' starring Tom Hanks as Mister Rogers.

There is only one movie opening in wide release this coming weekend,
'Playmobil: The Movie'. STX Entertainment trying to duplicate the success of their rival toy brand Lego films, but something tells me they are not going to succeed. So we officially predict 'Frozen II' will 3-Peat as your #1 movie at the Box Office this coming weekend! However all bets are off in the coming weeks as 'Jumanji: The Next Level' opens Dec 13th and then the highly anticipated Star Wars Episode 9: Rise Of Skywalker opens the following week. Thanks for reading our weekly report! For full box office results please use our source for all this info Box Office Mojo!
