It was a really tough call but last week we predicted Tim Burton's new live action version of the classic story 'Dumbo' would be the new #1 movie at the Box Office and we were correct! It wasn't an easy decision considering the impressive opening for writer/director Jordan Peele's 'Us' the previous weekend. 

'Dumbo' earned $45.9M making it the #1 movie at the Box Office & at the time of this post $122M worldwide! Moving down to 2nd place this past weekend was 'Us' with $33.2M & an impressive $127M Domestic total in just 2 weeks all on a budget of only $20M. In 3rd place was 'Captain Marvel' with $20.6M & by next weekend will cross the $1B threshold worldwide! New movie 'Unplanned' came in 4th place with $6.3M, surprisingly considering it was only in about 1,000 theatres. Rounding out the top spots in 5th with $6.1M was 'Five Feet Apart'.

There are 2 major movies opening this coming weekend, an updated version of the Stephen King classic novel 'Pet Sematary' & DC Comic's latest 'Shazam!' starring Zachary Levi. 'Dumbo' could repeat at #1, however, the new 'Shazam!' movie just looks like a lot of fun! It's a bit of a flyer (no pun intended lol) but we think 'Shazam!' will be the new #1 movie at the Box Office this coming weekend!
