We predicted last week that it would be a slow weekend at the Box Office for the last weekend of Summer and that 'Angel Has Fallen' would repeat as the #1 movie, and both predictions were correct! It was a lacklustre performance but 'Angel Has Fallen' was your #1 movie again this past weekend with $11.7M and a 2 week domestic total of $40M to match the film's budget. Repeating in 2nd place was the R-rated Comedy 'Good Boys' with $9.5M, the film now in its 3rd weekend has an impressive world wide total of $72M on a budget of only $20M! In 3rd place with $6.9M was 'The Lion King', 4th place went to 'Hobbs & Shaw' with $6.4M and rounding out the top spots this past weekend was the horror film 'Ready Or Not' with $5.9M.
There is one major movie opening in theatres this weekend 'It: Chapter Two' so our prediction is an easy one! With the huge success of the first film, and the fact that there is no other competition 'It: Chapter Two' will dominate the box office this coming weekend and will easily be the #1 movie!
