Congratulations to Dylan & Matthew (DK Wrestler & MD Shaddy) of Ontario, Canada for being the latest K-Dog & Fish Funko Funatics of the Week!
Here is Dylan & Matthew's Funko story:
1. Tell us about how you got into collecting Funko, and what your first Funko Item was?
DK : I was at a comic con, and saw a booth with a bunch of pops stacked on metal shelves. I was curious to see if there were any Toy Story pops since I never really knew about pops, and there I saw the original Disney Series 1 Buzz Lightyear that I bought as my first pop. On that same day, I also bought Heisenberg from Breaking Bad, which then became my second pop.
MD : Zack Morris, and the rest of the Saved By The Bell set. No company was really making any Saved By The Bell merchandise, so Funko caught my eye with those pops.
2. Tell us about what genres or types of pops you collect?
DK : My range of genres is very big, and I try to collect 1 set/character of pops from each genre. If it's Movies, I'm buying Back To The Future pops. If it's Games, I'm buying Crash Bandicoot. Animation is Yu-Gi-Oh! and so on.
MD : I collect just about every genre that Funko makes, but Ad Icons are my favourite to collect.
3. Tell us your favourite pop that you own and what grails you are searching for?
DK : NYCC 2018 Pizza Planet Truck with Buzz Lightyear POP! Rides. Toy Story is easily my favourite movie series of all time, and the way they executed this is something we have never seen before with not only rides, but pops in General. Plus that scene in Toy Story 2 was awesome. At the moment, the grails I'm looking for are those hard to find Back To The Future pops like the 2018 Fan Expo Marty with Guitar.
MD : Zack Morris because it was my first Funko Pop, and I got it signed by Marc Paul Gosselaar himself. The grails I'm searching for the most at the moment are The Muppets, and the O.G. set of The Simpsons pops.
4. Tell us about how you heard of K-Dog & Fish?
DK : I heard about you guys when I watched a Top Pops video back in 2019 of 4 single pop Mystery Boxes you guys sent to him before the opening of the store.
MD : I was searching for different Funko videos on YouTube, and then I saw a video from K-Dog & Fish, so I clicked and watched it.
