Like the trained Assassin that he is, John Wick terminated 'Avengers: Endgame' from the Top Spot at the Box Office this past Weekend. We predicted last week that 'John Wick: Chapter 3' had a chance & we wouldn't be totally shocked if it did take the top spot, and that is what happened.

It was an impressive opening Weekend for the 3rd installment of the Keanu Reeves franchise, considering the violence somewhat limiting the audience age wise, people definitely came out to see it! 'John Wick: Chapter 3' came in 1st with $56.8M almost doubling the opening weekend from the previous John Wick film in 2017.

After 3 weekends in the top spot, 'Avengers: Endgame' fell to 2nd place with $29.9M and a worldwide total now of $2.6B! It is now $173M away from topping 'Avatar' as the highest grossing film All-Time. In 3rd place this past weekend with $25M was 'Pokémon Detective Pikachu' voiced by Ryan Reynolds. In 4th place was a new film opening, 'A Dog's Journey' with $8M and rounding out the tops spots with $6.1M was 'The Hustle' starring Anne Hathaway & Rebel Wilson.

There is 1 major film opening this coming weekend, Disney's new Live-Action remake of 'Aladdin', complete with a Blue Will Smith Genie lol! It is opening in 4,300 theatres, with the nostalgia of the 1992 animated version and whole new generation of young Disney fans there is no doubt it will do well! I think we can safely predict 'Aladdin' will be the #1 movie at the Box Office after this coming Weekend!
