Hey Funko Fans! BryWhy here! 

As was the case with the San Diego Comic Con (SDCC), Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC) and Wonder Con earlier this year, the upcoming New York Comic Con (NYCC) has also been cancelled due to the global pandemic. That certainly hasn't kept Funko from proceeding with another Virtual Con however and releasing an exciting wave of Exclusive Funko Pops. 

With close to FIFTY - yes, a staggering 50 - exclusives, this has to be one of the largest wave of Con-Exclusives ever released by Funko. Soda Cans, Super Sized Pops, Key Chain Pops, Pops that Glow-in-the-Dark and more - they definitely didn't hold back!

Below, I'll be sharing images of all the exclusives that have been announced to date, details on shared retailers and highlighting a few of my MUST-HAVES from the list.

Of course, K-Dog & Fish will be doing their absolute best to get as many of these NYCC Exclusives as possible, but given the nature of how Funko is instituting a lottery for who can buy on the night of the release, there is a lot of uncertainty this time around. After the night of the Con release, we'll be tracking down as many of the Exclusives as possible from the Shared Retailers as well... so you'll have to tune in to our Facebook Page & Instagram Account for updates on how we do! 

In the mean-time, let's take a look at my 3 MUST-HAVES from the list.
 

This is a really cool 2-pack featuring Luke Skywalker training his sister Leia in the ways of the force. This moment was featured in the most recent Star Wars film Rise of Skywalker in 2019 - you can watch the scene here. Barring Star Wars rebooting their sequel trilogy, it's hard to imagine another Leia Pop wielding a lightsaber, so this is likely the only time we'll see her wielding one. 

Fitting that New York Comic Con is when we'd be seeing an Escape from New York Pop, this one sort of caught me by surprise, but a much welcome surprise! As a long-time fan of the original 1981 Escape from New York film, seeing this Pop has me pretty excited. Easily one of my favourite Kurt Russell movies, the detail on this Pop is just exceptional. It will likely be difficult tracking this one down however, as Funko has announced that it will be a Show-Only Exclusive (not going to any shared retailers), so anyone lucky enough to snag this limited 1,000 piece Pop should be pretty pumped! 

#3 - Beach Head from the G.I. Joes 

This Pop might not be the most popular pick from my MUST-HAVES, but as a huge G.I. Joe fan growing up, I was stoked when I saw this glam. Given the recent release of Zartan and Shipwreck, and now Beach Head, is Funko signalling that there may be several more G.I. Joe Pops on the way? Take my money now, Funko, take it all! This might be my most desired Pop from the NYCC Exclusives List. 

Well, there you have it Funko Fans. Close to 50 NYCC Exclusives coming! Which ones are your MUST-HAVES?
