Weekend Box Office: April 26 - April 28, 2019

Well it is finally here!!! After all of the waiting 'Avengers: Endgame' premiered in theatres this past weekend and it was an easy prediction to make that it would be the #1 movie at the Box Office! So we tried to challenge ourselves and predict exactly how much it would bring in. We said it have the highest grossing Opening Weekend All-Time with $275M Domestic & $425M Foreign for a 3 day worldwide total of $700M beating its own record from 'Avengers: Infinity War' of $640M worldwide. We were way off LOL! 'Avengers: Endgame' smashed the record, almost doubling it at just over $1.2B worldwide in its opening weekend! Coming in 1st place domestically with an insane record breaking $357.1M and $866.5M in foreign markets. Time will tell, but 'Avengers: Endgame' might just be the movie that finally cracks the top 2 highest grossing films of all time held forever by director James Cameron with 'Avatar' & 'Titanic'.

Here's the list of the other movies rounding out the top spots at the box office this past weekend. Obviously it's not even close to $357M 'Avengers: Endgame' made, but coming in 2nd was 'Captain Marvel' with $8.3M. Clearly getting a bit of a boost from Marvel fans attending theatres this weekend moving up from 4th place the previous week and in its 8th week in theatres no less, pretty impressive. In 3rd was last week's #1 movie, horror film 'The Curse of La Llorona' with $8M. In 4th place was 'Breakthrough' with $6.8M & in 5th with $5.5M was 'Shazam'!

It really doesn't matter what is coming out this weekend lol, 'Avengers: Endgame' will be the #1 movie at the Box Office and for a few more weeks to come! However, the new movies releasing that are worth noting are 'The Intruder' a thriller starring Dennis Quaid & the comedy 'Long Shot' starring Seth Rogen & Charlize Theron. We could easily see these new films cracking the Top 5 but obviously we are predicting 'Avengers: Endgame' will be ahead of them all.
