Funko Funatics!

"In our house, Funko Pop collecting is truly a family affair. Each of us have our faves and wish lists - which means when we make the 20-minute drive to the K-Dog & Fish store in Bracebridge, it can be an exciting free-for-all!

I learned about Pops 3 or 4 years ago the same way I learn about most pop culture related-things: "Hey Mummy, I gotta show you these!"

My first-ever Pop ever was Ludo from Jim Henson's 'The Labyrinth', and was joined by Sarah, Hoggle and of course Jareth shortly thereafter. My current favourite Pop is Fezzik - another character from a beloved childhood movie.

While my taste in Pops can be completely random (heavy on 80's and 90's TV and movie nostalgia, but often just because it's an awesome Pop), the rest of my family is a bit more focused.

My son Carson leans towards WWE, Star Wars and video game related figures, while my daughter Haley is all about Disney, Harry Potter and The Office. My youngest, Olivia is forever a wildcard (takes after me) and has several Sesame Street and How to Train Your Dragon Pops.

My husband Jim sticks to movies and SNL- Napoleon Dynamite, Super Troopers, and SNL films/skits. We are movie fanatics, and are constantly quoting lines....this started long before I worked at Blockbuster Video. Ahh, the good old days....

We actually found out about the K-Dog & Fish shop by accident! We were just walking by (pre-pandemic) and stopped in. The rest is history, as far as I'm concerned - they are our go-to for pre-orders and anything Funko-related.

Their online presence is something we really look forward to every week, whether it's a new YouTube video, 4 O'clock Friday Show or reaching "Hour Tres" during an epic Live Auction Garage Sale. Keep up the good work boys!
