Funko Funatics!

Congratulations to Eric N. of Midland, Ontario for being the latest K-Dog & Fish Funko Funatic of the Week!

Here is Eric's story: 

My first POP was in 2013. My sons decided to buy me Daenerys Targaryen with Red Dragon for my birthday. I was a big fan of the Game of Thrones books and show and they thought I would get a kick out of it. I did and started buying more, picking two characters from each of my favourite TV shows and movies. It was fun and challenging sometimes to limit purchases to only two. Later that rule was discarded. The collection (all out-of-box) continued to grow. Then in 2019 when my girlfriend Tammy moved in, our two collections merged with only one duplicate, Ed Sheeran, which was to be expected. Now our joint collection is just over 300 with a 2:1 ratio in my favour.



When Deadpool came out in the theatres, I became addicted and as Funko introduced more and more Deadpool POPS!, I worked hard to add them to my collection. Not including the recent 30th Anniversary pre-orders, there are about six I am still in search of. It was seven, but thanks to K-Dog and Fish, they were able to locate Deadpool with Headpool for me to add. They always go out of their way to help locate and answer my annoying messages with pics of newly announced POPS! Asking "will you be getting this?" and "when can I pre-order?"



We stumbled across K-Dog and Fish purely by accident while out on one of our hiking tours in early 2020. As we drove through beautiful Bracebridge looking for somewhere to eat we passed the store and the Funko logo caught our attention. After we parked and walked back up to find the store we discovered they only sold Funko. We were sadden by the fact that due to covid restrictions it was by appointment only. Luckily Fish noticed us outside and arranged for us to return in half an hour to visit. It was love at first sight, with Fish and the store. Once we were home, more orders were placed and the relationship began.



Now I check the website daily for new additions and events. I just started attending the Friday night LIVE Garage Sales that are a great time and recently scored the set of Orange is the New Black POPS!. Unfortunately as a healthcare worker that works evening shifts, I miss every other week. I recommend K-Dog and Fish to everyone I know. A great source of items, super deals and awesome shipping standards and they tolerate my many messages about Deadpool items!
