Funko Funatics!

Congratulations CJ from Langley BC for being the latest K-Dog & Fish Funko Funatic of the Week! Here is CJ featured with some of his favourite Pops!



Here is CJ's Funko Story:

Hello everyone! I started collecting Funko Pops in January 2020 when I moved to B.C. There’s a really cool collectibles store just down the road and when I first stepped in there and saw the massive collection of Pops they had, I became instantly hooked. I’m now up to over 260 pops.





My first Funko pop was the Red Shirt Tiger Woods. My first purchases from K-Dog & Fish were 2 of the 50/50 Chase Hunt Part Deux Mystery Boxes.




 

I like to collect Pops that have some kind of meaning to me and others that just look really cool! I’ve been an “on and off” fan of  WWE for the last 20 years or so and have a lot of Pops from that genre as well as quite a few from The Office.

The Pops that I hold dearest are the ones in the collection that I believe represent Canada, namely the 5 Geoffrey’s from Toys R Us and the Alex Trebek common and chase. Toys R Us may be an American company, but the only stores left are in Canada, therefore Geoffrey is now CANADIAN! I’d never part ways with any of those.

I’m still trying to add the Golden Ticket Geoffrey as well as the Can Expo exclusive Big Foot. Once I have those, I’ll consider the “Canada Collection” complete.




 

When I first started collecting, I wanted the Dale Doback and Brennan Huff Pops from Step-brothers. I was finally able to get them a few weeks ago thanks to the virtual garage sale that K-Dog and Fish put on. Not only can you get great Pops from the auctions but it’s also just a really good time. The work they do for the Canadian Funko community is just unbelievable.

In Canada, we often get forgotten by Funko because it can be so hard to get the stuff we want. They do their best to fix that for us and they usually always pull it off. K-Dog & Fish are truly the best.


 

I’m still on the search for the Freddy Funko “Surfs up Joker” Pop. The Batman one is currently in the mail. So excited for that!

Lastly, I need to thank my girlfriend for allowing me to take over a whole room in our apartment to display the collectibles. They take up a lot of room… alot. My collecting has inspired her to collect too and now she’s got a small collection of about 12-15 pops. We all started somewhere! Hopefully one she will be the funko fanatic of the week!
